Leigh Touring Team Set to Visit Essington for Season Opener

Rugby returns to Essington this weekend as the club welcomes a touring team from Leigh in the first fixture of the season. The day promises action, energy, and community spirit — starting with a mixed touch rugby game followed by a men’s contact match.

This fixture marks the return leg of Essington’s visit to Leigh last season, continuing the friendly rivalry between the two sides.

Schedule:

  • Mixed Touch Rugby Tap-Off: 12:15 PM

  • Men’s Contact Kick-Off: 1:15 PM

All supporters, families, and friends are encouraged to come down, enjoy the day, and cheer on the players as Essington kicks off their season in style.
